The Case for Cadence + Sustainable Business

Let's Dive Deeper

There are compelling reasons for building sustainable businesses aside from the very real environmental threats we face.

We are living and working for longer. So, we need to be stronger for longer to stay in the game. That applies to us as much as the companies we build.

Customers make purchasing decisions based on sustainability. And sustainable business practices can also be your competitive differentiator and advantage, driving ‘outperformance’.

Building a more sustainable business requires us to change our mindset and become more intentional about how we approach productivity.

It’s NOT about numbers and KPIs. It’s about people.

We create more cohesive teams and sustainable organisational cultures by doing the following:

  • Aligning personal and corporate values.
  • Building intentionally productive habits into our workflow that put wellbeing first.
  • Honing our work styles, work processes and self-leadership skills to enhance how we work.

This is what leads to better results and a more profitable business.

Sustainable business practices aren’t just nice-to-haves — they are must-haves. They’re essential for thriving in our future of work (and life).

It starts with Creating Cadence

Discovering the rhythm for how, where and why you do the work you do.

When we redefine the rhythm of our work with more intentional productivity practices, we open the door to happy teams, fulfilling work, and sustainable success.

Meta Analysis studies show that happy, healthy people are 30% more productive, make 30% more sales, and are three times more creative. (*School of Life)

When we’re healthy and happy, we make better decisions across our lives, which means we’re better able to support the planet with everything we do, too.

It’s a no-brainer to place wellbeing at the heart of your business to keep your people happy. This is what “doing business as a force for good” is all about.

  • More energy, sharper focus, smoother workflows, better decision making, clearer communication, enhanced outputs, and fewer sick days.
  • Tight-knit, productive teams with healthy boundaries who can self-lead, take initiative and collaborate well.
  • Attracting talent who care about your mission, and choose to stay the course!
  • Setting boundaries that allow you to enjoy more time doing what matters – both inside and outside of work.
  • Having the resilience to keep going when things get tough, without burning out.
  • Peace of mind knowing your profit-making purpose truly aligns with supporting your people and the planet.

"I commissioned Mich to run a workshop on digital habits and wellbeing at work for an audience of SME owners and managers. The workshop itself was very well received. Mich pitched it perfectly for the audience and we got great feedback. She was very organised and thorough in her preparation. She adapted her theme to meet our audience's needs and she delivered the topic in an engaging, warm and accessible way. I look forward to working with her again soon."

"Mich makes you think about the smaller things in work and life that can have a massive affect in the way we work and live. This was presented very informatively with a practical activity to make sure we understood the topic. The benefits of the workshop programme are to make a better you. To consciously think about what you would like to do and the small steps to enable you to do it."

I liked how you made things relatable to your own life and work background, so we could see an insight into how it's helped you, but also to make it easier for us to open up collectively.

As a new company, these workshops have helped to define our work ethic and manifesto. It has helped us reflect on what work means to us as individuals and as a team and how this affects others, no matter how entrenched in harmful work habits we may be."
